My New Story "War of the Spiral"

Will post this on W101 Central.

Chapter One

The War Begins

Third Person Point of View

FOUR FRIENDS RAN quickly to the battle circle at Oyotomi the Defiler to complete their quest. Their names were Savannah Hexsong, Autumn Earthgem, Lucas Mistheart, and James Mythwielder. Each friend was garbed in school symbols of their school, and wielded a sword of their opposite school (Savannah had a Death Sword).

Lamina lance!” Savannah shouted. Immediately, a tan and maroon blade appeared over Lucas’s head, swirling around him like a tornado.

Lucernam!” Autumn chanted. Like with Savannah and the Balanceblade, a green and brown charm with a yellow star appeared and surrounded her head in a flurry of sparks.

Lamina tempestate!” Lucas muttered. A Stormblade appeared above his head and circled him in a burst of white sparks like the gentle snowfalls his friend loved.

The battle continued. Savannah continued to buff Lucas, while Autumn healed Savannah and James, who were constantly attacked. In the end, Lucas ended the battle with a very strong Triton, which happened to be his personal record. He praised the boost his gear had, and the group turned in their quest.

Savannah’s Point of View

AFTER TURNING in my quest, I ended up level 42, Alhazred sending a tutorial tip to learn Hydra. However, I didn’t want to stop and interrupt our good streak to get Hydra, so I told them we could just move along.

Questing went swiftly after that, we went through the dungeons, defeated the bosses, and were a perfect group until the Cyrus Drake quest.

My sister Emma constantly bragged about her high leveled-ness at home. When she defeated Cyrus, she complained about how she had to solo a 5,000 health boss of her own school and how it took her three tries. Nevertheless, I shrugged it off and didn’t think about that until now, when it was my turn.

Autumn’s sister Cassandra told her that she and Valdus (her boyfriend) defeated Cyrus together by having Valdus start and Cassandra pop in after a few rounds. So, we naturally came up with the same strategy, only to fail.

Our plan was to have Autumn start, followed by me, then James, then Lucas, but something got mixed up, and it ended up with me and Lucas and Autumn with James. Luckily, I had crowns to afford a Life henchman who constantly healed us while we pummeled Cyrus over the ten minute battle.

Our group finally met up in the Tower Archives. Autumn and James had a late start, but they told me that with a simple prism, Autumn and James killed Cyrus with a bladed Centaur and a largely trapped Ninja Pig (respectively).

“So, was your battle as easy as ours?” Autumn asked panting at the fact she had to run all the way there.

“Yeah, I got a Life henchman to heal us while we used Judgement, Triton, Stormzilla, and company,” I replied.

For a moment, Autumn turned around and pulled something out of her purse. After three seconds, she turned around and announced, “Ambrose has something really urgent.” Our jaws dropped.

Autumn’s Point of View

WHEN WE GOT to the Commons, things were mysteriously quiet. I didn’t see as many lower levels as usual, or hear scammers running towards me begging for Crowns. When we got to the gate in front of Ambrose’s house, we were teleported inside. I saw Ambrose nearly quaking with an urge of panic.

“W-w-w-w-e m-m-m-ay be t-t-t-t-o-o-o l-l-l-l-la-a-a-t-t-t-t-e-e-e,” Ambrose stuttered. I was surprised and scared. I had never seen Ambrose be so scared like this.

“Someone is betraying us,” he managed to say without stuttering on every syllable. He had now gone pale, and his normal Tempest-blue eyes were now a strange black. He never even told us his eye color could change.

“Ambrose, what’s going on?” Savannah asked him while he whimpered. He jumped back and nearly fell in all the books when the door slammed open to reveal a sinister figure we had never seen before, but I had heard of in stories.

The figure looked nearly like a fallen angel. She had beautiful onyx hair that was amazing compared to my normal black hair. Her pale skin seemed to glimmer and her dark eyeliner made her look like a vampire, along with the blood red lipstick. She wore a black Necromancer-seeming garment. She had a long, flowing black dress (like Youkai’s Robe of Premise) with all sorts of Death seeming things: symbols, skulls, scythes, tombstones, etc. along with orange, red, yellow, and white. She held a black staff with a curved top and a black orb at the top that was seemingly alive.

“We meet again, Ambrose,” the figure said in a low tone. Her voice sounded like a dog dying combined with 75% of an angel’s voice. Now we knew why he was whimpering.

“Sephlana,” he stuttered. It was hurting me to just watch him quiver like this.

“Yes, it’s me. So now that I have returned from Celestia, I shall take control of your precious little City you’ve treasured forever,” Sephlana growled. In a flurry of Death symbols, Sephlana disappeared, and I could hear commotion outside.

“It has begun,” Ambrose muttered.

“What has begun?” James and Lucas asked simultaneously.

“The War of the Spiral.”
